Common problems
“Turn the connection helper on”
Section titled ““Turn the connection helper on””Mirrage can’t reach your iPhone’s location settings. Open LocalDevVPN and tap Connect, then come back - the banner clears by itself.
“One-time setup needed”
Section titled ““One-time setup needed””Mirrage doesn’t have a pairing file yet. Run Mirrage Setup with your iPhone plugged in, or follow manual setup.
“That’s a USB pairing record, not a Mirrage setup file”
Section titled ““That’s a USB pairing record, not a Mirrage setup file””You picked a .mobiledevicepairing file. Mirrage needs a remote pairing file - make one with
Mirrage Setup or step 3 of manual setup.
Mirrage won’t open at all
Section titled “Mirrage won’t open at all”It has probably passed its 7-day signature. See Keeping it working.
“Couldn’t download connection files”
Section titled ““Couldn’t download connection files””On first launch Mirrage downloads a few files from Apple. Check you’re online and tap Retry on the map.
Teleport does nothing
Section titled “Teleport does nothing”Check the status chip under the search bar. If it still says Real location, look for a banner underneath it - it says what’s missing. Most often LocalDevVPN has switched itself off.
